Who is a real man ?

When we say 'Male' or 'Man', what comes to our mind is a person with good height, heavy weight, flat face and broad mustache. Male or Man, we don't have clear difference in our mind. We often do a mistake to consider both the phrase as same. But in reality they are not.
Male is a phrase which indicates 'Sex' of a human. Biologically, humans are divided into males and females. A male human is one who has one X chromosome and one Y chromosome; a female is one who has two X chromosome. Male is a human with mustache, testicles and lots of testosterone. While female is a human with womb, ovaries and little testosterone. It is a broad biological differentiation which is gifted to us and not evolved. Sex is a very simple thing. To become a member of male sex is simplest thing in the world. Just combine X and Y chromosome and hollaaa, you are a male. To become female is equally simple. A pair of two X chromosome will do it. 'Sex' is a child's play. What is hard is to become a Male or Female.
Man is a cultural phrase which indicates 'Gender' of a human. It is not gifted to a person biologically, but is earned. To be a man, biological specifications such as mustache, testicles, testosterone and XY chromosome are not the only criteria. Society don't just crown a male as man, it has assigned some roles, rights and duties which a person has to fulfill in order to be regarded as a 'Man'. The criteria to be a man is different from being a male and constantly change with time.
In old times Man's culture's myths assigned him particularly masculine role (like engaging in politics), rights (like voting), and duties (like military service). With change in time and social structure, changes occurred in man's role (like engaging in politics and encouraging woman to do the same), right (like voting and to give equal opportunity to woman) and duties (like military service and respecting woman). Here clearly we can see an evolution. Thus it can be said that man and woman are the product of continuous and ongoing evolution. And in current societal condition, to be a 'Man' is to offer an equal opportunity to woman, protect her and respect her.
So next time when a person says, 'I am a real man', stop him and ask if he is fulfilling all the norms that are assigned to him by society. If he isn't, he is not a real 'Man', he is merely a common 'Male' who is of very less importance in society.
